SUMMARY:

Precision Metal Works, a Bartell Global Company, manufactures metal stamped parts and components for the appliance and automotive industries. We have approximately 300 team members with two manufacturing facilities in Louisville, KY and one in Frankfort, KY. Our facilities boast 40 stamping presses, a state-of-the-art powder coating line, robotic welding, cosmetic stainless-steel finishing and numerous assembly operations.

PMW is in search of an IT Technician to help support and maintain all IT related areas within our manufacturing environment. In this position, you will troubleshoot complex problems, resolve help desk tickets, provide support for IT issues within our organization. This position requires a willingness to work in hot, cold, dirty/dusty environments on shop floor computers, network equipment, and printers. A high level of customer service skills is essential for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide technical support to end-users throughout the office and manufacturing environment.

· Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.

· Provide support for user devices which include Desktop/Laptop computer, tablets, projectors, and cellphones.

· Provide support to shopfloor devices which include Zebra printers, thin clients, and barcode scanners.

· Manage and maintain the company’s network infrastructure, including servers, switches, and firewalls.

· Help implement and maintain security measures to prevent unauthorized access to company systems and data.

· Assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing support of new software and features.

· Provide both in person and remote training to users when appropriate.

· Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, tickets, and in-person requests for assistance from users.

· Report status of projects and assignments to management on a regular basis.

· Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems and confirm success of actions and restoration/establishment of service.

· Keep up to date with new technologies and IT advancements to identify areas for improvement within the company.

· Perform other job duties as assigned with a high degree of flexibility and professionalism.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· General knowledge of hardware, software, networks, and security principles

· Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

· Ability to follow procedures accurately and pay close attention to detail.

· Ability to explain technical information in a clear and concise manner.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

· Ability to interact professionally with colleagues.

· High school degree or equivalent; Degree in computer science, information preferred.
