Our client is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the development of a student portal using AWS services and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex projects, knowledge of AWS services and tools, and a strong understanding of the higher education sector.

The project will be in two phases:
Phase1: Infrastructure and Tech Stack setup, high-level design and look and feel, and Proof of Concept delivery of selected functionality

Phase 2: The completion of Portal 1.0 and go-live

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with our 3rd-party implementation partner, develop a comprehensive project plan outlining the necessary resources, timelines, and milestones.
• Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining the necessary resources, timelines, and milestones. Collaborate with vendor development partner PM, IT Technical Lead and SMEs.
• Plan and execute the project plan from start to finish, ensuring it is completed within the given timeline, budget, and scope.
• Work with the university's stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations for the student portal.
• Coordinate with the development team to ensure the project progresses according to plan and provide guidance and support as needed.
• Oversee the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the portal meets the university's requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with the implementation partner and the university's IT department to integrate the student portal with existing systems.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders and project team members, providing updates on progress and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing complex IT projects, preferably in the higher education sector.
• Knowledge of AWS services and tools, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute and monitor complex projects.
• Strong communication skills, including communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.
• AWS certification is a plus.
