Job Summary & Qualifications:

Teaching opportunity for on-site instructors! Current opening for an Information Technology and Networking instructor for local online private career college. We are looking for both full time and part time candidates to teach courses in information technology, networking, and server infrastructure. This position is for on-site instructors that can regularly come in to one of our five California locations: Oxnard, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, Chula Vista.

Requirements:

*Bachelor's degree in related field + industry certifications, OR

*Master's degree in related field

*2 years in the field experience

*Proficient understanding of advanced computer hardware, software, and networking knowledge

*Proficient with computer server systems, infrastructure knowledge, and virtualization systems

Desirable Skills and Certifications:

• Highly Desired experience is a Plus: Experience in Linux, Cyber Security, Cisco, Cloud Computing, Databases, Software Development, Advanced Server Infrastructure
• Certifications Desired but not required: CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, CCNA, Azure, AWS, CISSP, CASP or similar certification
• Experience with the following programming languages is a plus: C++, C, IOS, Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, Apple/Android, SQL, PowerShell, Python, Scripting, Ruby, Perl, or any other programming language

Job Summary

· The Information Technology Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction to students that meet the program and course objectives while maintaining an organized, disciplined classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

· Understanding of education environments including needs of adult learners

· Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment

· Motivation, dedication, and enthusiasm for teaching

· Utilize classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide an engaged educational experience to students

· Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, staff, and faculty

· Participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development activities to ensure an active, engaged, and up to date classroom experience for all students

· Maintain required certification and licensure
