Hendricks Behavioral Hospital is a 115 bed facility located in Plainfield, IN. HBH provides programs and services for adults and adolescents suffering from mental health and/or addictions illness. Our care team offers a continuum of services that includes; inpatient care, and intensive outpatient services. We are currently hiring experienced, skilled, caring, and service minded staff as we grow the intake staff.

The Intake Clinician is responsible for:

1) Responding to referrals and other requests for services and information.

2) Completing level of care assessments on people ages 13 and above.

3) Collaborating with providers to determine a proper recommendation of care for the person.

4) Admitting people to the hospital that meet inpatient level of criteria.

The Intake Clinician is often the first contact with the community and therefore excels at providing resources, and support to callers and walk-ins. The intake staff work as part of a team to provide excellent service timely service; ability to work as part of a team is integral.

Education: Registered Nurse or Master’s Degree in a human relations field required.

Experience: Preferably experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting. Will also consider other experiences assessing people’s level of need, diagnostic criteria, or biopsychosocial assessments.

Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana as a mental health professional is preferred.

Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.
