Human Resources/Payroll Administrator

Position Available: Human Resources/Payroll Administrator

Position Location: Tallassee, Alabama

Supervisor: Vice President of AES Mechanical

Duties include but not limited to:

  • On-boarding new employees including
  • Perform background checks and drug screens
  • Completion of all new hire forms and adding to payroll
  • Responsible for issuing per diem and company cards, ordering uniforms
  • Assist with new hire orientation of company policies and procedures
  • Benefit plan administrator for company health, dental, vision, AFLAC, NYL, and 401K
  • Responsible for eligibility notices and explanation of benefits
  • Process new enrollees, termination, and coverage adjustments
  • Assist associates with personal issues regarding coverage
  • Assist with annual benefit program renewals
  • Maintain and process payroll
  • Verify accuracy of time records and track PTO and vacation time
  • Process payroll weekly (data entry, electronic checks, tax deposits, tax reporting etc.)
  • Process/assist with quarterly tax reports including federal, state, FUTA, SUTA, etc.
  • Update pay rates and prepare payroll related reports for management
  • Process bonuses when directed by management
  • Ensure weekly processing of per diem cards and employee advances
  • Track earned per diem and load cards
  • Issue employee advances when directed and debit payroll for pay back
  • Assist with company safety program, OSHA and EEOC complaints
  • Maintain accident files and provide data for OSHA logs (300 and 300A and BLS filings)
  • Process and coordinate OSHA and EEOC complaints with Executive Management
  • Oversee and coordinate work-related injuries
  • Process and assist with investigations and schedule post-accident drug screening
  • Complete first report of injury with Worker’s Compensation carrier
  • Assist with Worker’s Compensation case management and back to work light duty cases
  • Provide input for continuous improvement
  • Employee relations and benefits
  • Benefit cost containment and cost reduction initiatives

Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 4 years' experience in Human Resources and Payroll Administration
  • Excellent computer skills

Pay Range: $52,000 to $64,000 based upon qualifications
