Position Title: Human Resources Manager - 5 Star Electric LLC

Supervisor: Human Resources Director

Effective Date: 12/12/2022

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Purpose:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for serving as a strategic HR partner to Operations leadership in assigned region(s), developing and coach Operations management, developing and executing staffing plans, and providing training. This position is accountable in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

Supervision:

This position may have supervisory responsibility for one or more individuals depending on the size of the geographic region assigned. Direct reports will assist in the administration in one or more of the functional areas listed above.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct the strategic roll out of human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; directs the development and implementation of entity specific personnel policies and procedures.
  • Oversees the development of entity or regional goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Responsible for integration of new districts and entities within region.
  • Implements and designs the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program and suggests improvements to the overall process.
  • Works with Payroll and Benefits department in resolving complex employee issues tied to claim management.
  • Designs and implements recruitment strategy based on needs of Operations leadership; works with outside marketing firms as appropriate.
  • Coaches Operations leadership on employee relations to achieve problem resolution without litigation; conducts timely and thorough investigations involving complex employee complaints and disputes and prepares documentation of issues.
  • Participates in Operations leadership meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Ensure maintenance company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Ensure compliance with Risk Control Matrix (RCM) as it relates to HR specific controls for SOX compliance.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of human resources experience
  • HR Certification strongly preferred, SHRM SCP or PHR
  • Experience in supporting multiple locations or businesses strongly preferred
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred

Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain organization and focus when facing multiple requests and changing priorities
  • Ability to use critical and logical thinking in high pressure environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and ensure completion of tasks in effective and satisfactory manner
  • Ability to observe and anticipate trends in industry and Human Resources
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft suite of tools

Work Environment:

Position will be primarily located in an office environment. Position will primarily take place seated at a desk and will be indoors in a controlled environment. Exposure to noise elements typical of an office environment. Position will require travel to field locations as necessary where exposure to weather and elevated noise volumes may occur.

Travel Requirements:

This position will have travel requirements to field locations which the position supports on at least a quarterly basis or as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
