Job Summary:

We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven HR intern to assist our HR department with administrative and HR-related tasks. The HR intern’s responsibilities include supporting HR department processes and special projects.

As the HR intern, you will need to stay abreast of HR best practices, employee engagement and employment law trends. This position requires someone who is highly detailed oriented, a strong team player, can work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment, and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Screening potential employees' resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies.
  • Organizing interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Updating job descriptions database
  • Posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.
  • Assisting the HR staff in gathering market salary information.
  • Assisting in the planning of company events.
  • Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.
  • Assisting HR team members with several special projects

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in humannresource management or related field.
  • Proven experience working in an office environment.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.

Employment Requirements:

· Possession of valid Driver’s License and access to own vehicle

· Successful completion of Pennsylvania Criminal History Check, PA DHS Child Abuse Clearance, Office of Inspector General check, and FBI Fingerprinting for Child Protective Services Law (at employer’s expense)

· Successful completion of post-offer employment drug screening and physical

Shift Requirements:

· Part-Time with the option for full-time upon demonstrated good performance

· In-Person/Hybrid Role (on occasion)

· $15/hr

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Erie, PA 16507: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
