We are looking for a Human Resources Office Administrator who will act as a point of contact for Office and HR-related matters for our company. The HR Office Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of policies and assist with some of the following Human Resources functions: recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and workers’ compensation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting, selection, and onboarding duties for assigned business units
  • Prepares and maintains employee handbook with the assistance of payroll provider
  • Assists with benefits administration
  • Prepares employment and regulatory compliance reporting
  • Completion of new hire and life cycle forms and transactions for payroll processing
  • Time and attendance review and approval
  • Understanding of payroll concepts and processes
  • Employee relations, onboarding, and orientation
  • Workers’ compensation administration
  • Assist with Unemployment compensation claims management
  • HR systems maintenance and reporting
  • Provides guidance to employees on Human Resources matters
  • Train employees on how to use company systems and technology.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Coordinate with IT on needs for computers and other office equipment.
  • Assist with the coordination of special events for the office including lunches, training events, holiday party planning, and any employee engagement activities, etc.
  • Provide managers/supervisors reports as required
  • Additional office duties including but not limited to, insurance renewals, contract renewals, fleet management, and entity filings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient to advanced PC Skills including (but not limited to) MS Word, MS Excel, email, internet, and customized database management
  • Must demonstrate organization and prioritization skills to manage time
  • Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and high motivation
  • Good reasoning abilities; Sound judgment; Resourcefulness
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Maintain Labor Law Compliance and OSHA Safety posters
  • Experience in HR administration and/or an Office management role
  • Solutions-led approach to work, you bring the answers not the questions

Experience Required:

  • 2+ years minimum experience with HR and previous payroll processing a plus
  • Workers’ compensation claims handling experience is desired
  • PHR/SPHR is highly desired but not a must
  • Recruiting/Staffing/Onboarding experience
  • Can effectively interact with employees from senior management to the front-line
  • Possess exceptional planning, coordinating, and project management skills for implementation of new policies and procedures – a motivated detailed innovator
  • Paychex software experience would be a plus.
  • Open enrollment experience & knows how to work with an insurance broker.
  • Knows standard employment law.
  • Employee relations experience.
  • Able to manage job posts & screen resumes to send to Hiring Managers.
