Job Description :

AAP Staff in partnership with one of the largest manufactures in Lasalle County is looking for a seasoned Human Resource Professional.

We are in need of an excellent addition to their Human Resources Team. The HR Manager will work closely with the plant and operations team. You will be a partner of business operations overseeing recruitment, facilitating employee development, performance management review processes, employee relations, policy interpretation, compensation administration and legal compliance . This role will advise and take action in areas of talent management, organizational development, performance management, and employee relations. A successful HR Manager will successfully navigate between tactical and strategic human resource needs in addition to being a valued team member.

The following are the major duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager:

  • Manage all HR data and activity as required and procedure for payroll and HRIS system, thus ensuring timely and accurate employee payroll and benefit functions from the centralized processes.
  • Ensure the appropriate organizational structure, staffing levels, succession planning, and development activities according to both Corporate Policy and local level needs to ensure the success of the business.
  • Translate strategic business plans into critical HR actions, programs and initiatives.
  • Direct overall employee relations and administration of all benefits, policies, procedures and programs for facility with primary objective of complying with federal, state and corporate regulations and requirements. Maintain the integrity of plant rules and procedures through proper administration and discipline.
  • Establish and maintain favorable and effective relationships with management and employees to promote the use of available services and provides assistance in identifying and resolving work performance problems.
  • Train and lead supervisors and management to ensure consistent, equal and fair treatment of all employees.
  • Manage, report, and monitor statistics with regards to attendance, safety, turnover, and resource headcount. Implements corrective actions where indicators fall short of desired goals.
  • Ensure effective talent attraction and management including recruitment, assessment and development.
  • Other duties are assigned as necessary to support team goals

Job Qualifications

The following are the key job requirements and/or experience required for the position:

  • BA/BS degree is required and HR or Business Administration degree is preferred.
  • PHR designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience with a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and someone who can work well in a consensus environment, while assisting others to excel in this culture and environment.
  • Participating or leading continuous improvement events/projects is important.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are required and experience with HRIS and other business enterprise systems and ADP experience preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a huge plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
