Summary/Objective

Under supervision, the human resource/onboarding assistant performs work of moderate difficulty in human resources and benefits administration.

Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records, reports and onboarding procedures.
  • Accurately processes employment updates in ADP.
  • Assists employees with HR questions, onboarding, training, licensure requirements.
  • Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, employees, department heads, and public and private agencies.
  • Onboarding new staff members
  • Provides campus tour to new staff members
  • Assistants department manager with filing and other daily tasks
  • Manages social media platforms with open job postings & hiring events
  • Training new staff members in the time/payroll management system (ADP)
  • Reviews and manages employee performance completion
  • Enrolls and manages employee annual training requirements
  • Reviews and manages employee licensing requirements and updates
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
  • Manages the Employee of the Month program
  • Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Compliance in the performance of their duties.
  • Adheres to the Organizations Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.
  • Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to their position.
  • Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous HR/onboarding experience (required)

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Public Speaking
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with multiple interruptions

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with others.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type, file or lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, hear and move throughout campus regularly.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 8 hours daily

This is a full or part-time position (Monday-Friday)

Occasional evenings necessary to onboard new staff
