GSA Staffing is looking for a qualified HR Manager in the Petersburg area. All candidates need to supply a resume for consideration.
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and perform the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including developing and enforcing company policies and best practices, and all aspects of employee recruitment, onboarding, retention and benefits administration.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Partners with management to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategies.
· Provides support and guidance on routine, specialized, and/or sensitive personnel questions.
· Manages the daily workflow of the department.
· Manages staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Manages insurance and 401K programs.
· Handles garnishments, child supports and other employee related directives.
· Investigates employee issues and conflicts in conjunction with company management and in house counsel.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
· Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
· Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s SAGE 300 CRE accounting and other technology platforms.
Education and Experience:
· A minimum of five years of human resource management experience required.
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· Human resource specialty certifications highly desired.
