Graphic/Production Designer

PHX Creative is continuing to grow as one of the nation’s most agile shopper-marketing and retail-focused creative agencies. We are seeking to add several experienced graphic designers to our agency to better support our roster of nationally known brands such as 7-Eleven, Anheuser-Busch, OREO, Sour Patch Kids, Clairol, Icy Hot, and many others. Graphic designers at PHX produce a wide range of point-of-sale, retail collateral, and shopper marketing assets in both print and digital formats. Graphic designers handle multiple deadlines in a very fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment using the array of tools within the Adobe Creative Suite. Our hybrid work environment requires strong written and verbal communication skills via a variety of mediums including MS Teams, job databases, email, and in-person. A willingness and desire to be focused on the technical aspect of the creative industry as well as having strong design ability is a must.

As a Graphic Designer at Phoenix Creative you will:

• Interact with designers, copywriters, art directors, and account leads to develop creative concepts and executions.

• Extrapolate approved designs across a variety of alternate specs and dimensions.

• Make all requested edits/corrections promptly and accurately.

• Perform retouching, color correction, and clipping of backgrounds on images, and optimize them as needed for production specifications.

• Digitally compose/assemble images that showcase our client’s products in store environments.

• Digitally modify flat artwork to appear three-dimensional.

• Check all layouts for completeness and adherence to brand standards.

• Prepare approved assets for final delivery to press, web and mobile.

• Manage a large workload while paying close attention to visual and technical details.

You're a great fit for this position if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in design from a four-year college or university is a plus

• 5+ years of agency or relevant in-house/corporate experience is preferred

• Excellent typography skills

• Portfolio of outstanding design and examples of intelligently crafted layouts that display clear communication hierarchy, calls-to-action, and proper brand application

• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite with extensive knowledge of Adobe

Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop

• A drive to expand your skills by learning new technologies

• A working knowledge of commercial printing processes and how it relates to file construction

• Organized with sharp attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
