Topsham Telephone/Communications, Inc. located in Corinth VT is seeking a General Operations Manager. This family-owned business, provides telecommunications services (Voice, Broadband, Internet and IP TV).

The ideal candidate will be well-balanced in all areas including business and financial acumen, success working in a competitive telecom environment (regulated and unregulated). Applicant should have a thorough understanding of the financial, competitive and technical issues affecting the telecommunications industry.

Essential job functions:

Supervises all network operations, Information Technology, and ISP operations, handling personnel issues, and monitoring timely completion of network provisioning, service installation and repairs.

Ensures personnel understand industry specifications, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance operation including bonding and grounding of digital communications equipment installations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of telecommunications engineering, construction and maintenance requirements and regulations.

Skill in reading and interpreting technical documents and forms including maps, work orders, trouble tickets, and service orders.

Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to pay attention to detail.

Ability to create a team environment and sustain employee morale.

Education and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience in electronics, engineering, or related field and management in telecom engineering, plant. or network operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,674.00 - $100,561.00 per year
