USSCO Federal Credit Union is conducting a search for the position of General Manager. This position is responsible for the direction and administration of all programs and services provided by the Credit Union, ensuring that all aspects of the Credit Union’s activities obtain maximum profits while maintaining the best interest of members, employees, and the public. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors, with all other executive officers reporting to the General Manager.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall financial soundness of the Credit Union, overseeing the planning and formulating of basic policies and programs, responsible for compliance with all applicable Credit Union laws and regulations, and informs and recommends said policies and/or procedures to the Board of Directors for approval. Other duties include, but are not limited to: ensures the Board is fully informed on all conditions and operations of the Credit Union, attends and conducts the monthly Board of Directors meetings, develops an annual budget and monitors it in conjunction with the Controller, oversees and monitors all aspects of the Member Business Lending department, develops annual strategic plans and goals and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors and oversees the evaluations system process for all employees.

Qualified candidates should possess, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree from a college or university, MBA preferred. Work related experience must consist of management experience in the financial service industry. Commercial lending knowledge and/or several years of experience in commercial lending is preferred. Candidates should possess thorough knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures, products and services. Knowledge of general accounting, payroll, budgeting and record keeping systems in financial institutions. Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operations. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills required.
