Steamboat is looking for a Food & Beverage Office Manager, an integral part of the department. This position will be responsible for many facets including payroll, hiring, booking, training and database upkeep. We are looking for someone with at least two (2) years of previous managerial experience in a high stress environment. Come out to the mountains and join are growing F & B team!
Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
Timekeeper for the Food and Beverage Department. This includes:
Checking Ultipro daily, fixing missed punches, entering missing times, etc.
Completing payroll corrections from previous week’s payroll
Submitting emergency check requests for employees
Edit and Sign-off payroll for Food and Beverage department each week and coordinate with managers to make sure all information is complete.
Responsible for Food and Beverage personnel paperwork submitted to Human Resources including: New Hire/Rehire/Org Change/Pay Changes/Separation forms/Second Jobs. Maintain and update personnel files for Food and Beverage
Instruct and train all Food and Beverage Managers on proper paperwork procedures, including the Ultipro payroll system, PDF employee forms and HR company policies and procedures
Coordinate hiring process, keep roster updated, distribute applications to managers, post positions through HR, and maintain correspondence to employees as needed
Will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, evaluation and supervision of the Food and Beverage Office Assistant, three to four Reservationists and Gondola Host staff (approximately 7 employees) daily
Manage and supervise the Food and Beverage Reservation System to maximize reservations at our restaurants
Coordinate with Steamboat Central Reservations to provide pricing and times for Coris reservation system
Communicate and solve problems
Control inventory of Food and Beverage dining products
Manage A/P and purchasing supplies for F&B:
Code all invoices
Prepare purchase orders in JDE
Manage petty cash
Distribute charge cards
Reconcile P-Card purchases
Update all F&B Calendars in Outlook and coordinate with group sales on special bookings.
Attend F&B Core Meeting and update managers on HR and office issues.
Interview and hire general line staff for Food and Beverage. May attend seasonal job fairs as Food and Beverage representative.
Calculate return rates for returning employees and provide equitable wage for any change from one job to another
Department representative in SSRC task forces: Employee Recognition, Marketing, Operations, and Communications
Update reservations and office assistant job descriptions
Produce general correspondence and special projects for Director of Food and Beverage
Coordinate departmental seasonal hiring by producing intent to return mailing to all F&B winter staff. Track responses and job openings
Minimum skills, experience, education and ability for this job:
At least two years supervisory or managerial experience in a busy environment required
Must have a high proficiency on a variety of computer programs with a high competency in Microsoft Word
High school diploma or equivalent required
Highly organized and able to work in a busy, stressful environment
Expected to explain computer applications to a wide variety of users
Knowledge of basic policies and operations of the corporation
Proper office etiquette and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Must read, write and communicate in English in a clear and professional manner
Must sit and operate keyboard for long periods of time, as well as additional office machinery such as phones, copier, and printer

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat area base salary range: $44,500 - $62,500 per year
