Our Manufacturing Company is Seeking a Finance Manager!

JOB SUMMARY:

This role will partner with the Controller and lead the accounting function at the Company in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Accounting Manager will help develop structure and process and will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting through month end close for multiple brands/business units. In addition to the day to day accounting this role will interact with executive leadership and the Board to provide insight supporting the Company’s long - term strategic goals.

COMPENSATION:

$75,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates all Monthly, Quarterly and Annual closing activities
  • Responsible for the coordination of all month-end journal entries
  • Responsible for managing, reviewing, and assessing the Business Units’ P&Ls and Balance Sheets daily and monthly for multiple brands/business units and acting as a partner to Business Units.
  • Responsible for performing monthly bank reconciliations and key account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
  • Ensures accuracy of all monthly accruals
  • Initiate ACH & wire transactions for approval and release by senior management
  • Support integration of acquisitions by providing training and implementing relevant accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
  • Prepares quarterly and annual federal, state and local tax and regulatory filings such as sales & use tax, highway use, Ohio CAT filings and other similar filings as required.
  • Supports annual financial audit including preparation and review of supporting schedules, ensuring required documentation is prepared in a timely manner, and interacting with auditors and company staff to provide supporting

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • 1+ year CPG accounting experience preferred
  • CPA a plus, but not required

JOB SKILLS:

  • Advanced experience with Excel (such as strong knowledge in Pivots, VLOOKUP’s, HLOOKUP’s, If Statements, SQL, etc)
  • Possess a high level of integrity and dependability, and have a strong sense of urgency with a focus on results while holding others accountable for the same
  • Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Ideally will have experience working for a private equity backed business and understand the pace and the reporting requirements
  • Possess excellent time management skills and ability to deliver multiple tasks at once

JOB DETAILS:

This role is a regular employee, full-time hourly position that is normally scheduled:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Overtime work may be required based on the needs of the business.
