Your responsibilities within Atlas Copco:

As Service Technician you are responsible for carrying out servicing and maintenance on customer's machines. Therefore, you effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment and maintain and test Instruments, to ensure they remain in good condition. To do so, you apply good standards of engineering practice at all times. As first contact of our customers you not only order spare parts for service orders to maximize the commission of new equipment but also train our customers as well as Atlas Copco personnel as required, in the general operations of their machines.

To do your job as required you plan and organize your daily and weekly visit schedules and attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills. You will beware of, and apply, Health and Safety regulations in the Service Centre and on site and promote the Atlas Copco Rental company image.

• 
  Hydronic/Boiler systems diagnostics, repair and installations
• Combustion analysis
• Navigate the PLC programs to troubleshoot any upsets, generate programming changes
• Create simple programs for programmable logic controllers; installs and troubleshoots programmable logic controllers.
• Lead machinery trouble-shooting; documents repairs made
• Replace or repair defective parts
• Provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for packaged boiler systems
• Disassemble malfunctioning equipment; examines and test mechanisms on boiler room equipment
• Knowledge of Plumbing and Mechanical codes
• Job documentation through field software
• Maintain a clean and organized service van and jobsite
• On Call rotation
• Participation in training classes both in-house and industry held

What we expect of you?

Experience:

• A working knowledge of boilers or experience in HVAC. Cross training is expected in missing area.

Education:

• Associate Degree with engineering major or other relevant technical degree or the equivalent relevant work experience.
• Two years of progressive work experience in a related industry.

Skills:

• An intermediate understanding of computers and associated systems (Microsoft, Excel, Word, etc…), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices.
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Willingness to grow within the business.
• Focused on inspiring others.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus.
