Administrative Assistant Job Description
iKey is a highly innovative Austin based, international tech company with a 32 year record of success. Explosive growth has created an opportunity to add one special hyper-productive over-achiever marketing and executive assistant to the CEO and Management Executives. This position could lead to promotion to a higher level position for the right candidate. You will be exposed to every department of the business: marketing, finance, legal, HR, operations, purchasing, international sales. Think of it as a MBA while you are working.
Ikey is the world’s largest manufacturer of rugged industrial keyboards and peripherals. Our products are sold in over 40 countries. We are a small company with a worldwide presence and a family atmosphere.
This is a full-time in office position with benefits which includes Medical, matching 401-K, and paid PTO. Dental and Vision are also optionally available.
You should be positive and have a can-do attitude, ability to multi-task, and be highly organized. Applicant must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to self-manage.
Responsibilities will include:
Handle and manage companies entire marketing efforts under supervision of management
Assist executives with varies aspects of their responsibility.
Assist in multiple departments: Marketing, Finance, Legal, Sales, Human Resources, and Production.
Crosstrain in various positions in other departments to provide backup and support when needed.
Conduct research for sales and other departments.
Purchasing office supplies and managing office maintenance.
Acting as IT liaison to troubleshoot basic IT issues in the office, and manage our outside IT vendor.
Liaison with marketing companies and other vendors
Manage facilities.
Work with Finance in AP and other tasks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or at least one year working in office environment preferred
Very smart.
Technology savvy, can-do attitude and approach.
Problem solving and proactive decision-making.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
Quick learner who grasps concepts and processes quickly and intuitively.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and be a team player.
Manage time, workflow, and priorities to accomplish goals.
Easily adjust to new and changing situations and business needs.
Highly organized, customer oriented.
Extremely positive attitude
Hourly position. 40-45 hours / week. Start at $17.00/ hour but compensation is based on experience.
