About George Junior Republic:

Established in 1909, George Junior Republic is dedicated to helping at-risk youth become successful, well-adjusted adults, capable of achieving a higher degree of citizenship, and a better understanding of his responsibility to society, his family and himself.

Position Overview:

The Evening Security Worker serves as security personnel during the assigned shift. The safety and security of the youth are the primary responsibilities of the evening childcare worker.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain safety and security for all youth during night hours.
• Constant observation of the sleeping areas.
• Make two physical counts of youth every half hour.
• Responsible for reporting physical count information every half hour to the Communications and Dispatch Operator.
• Report any youth problems to Campus Supervisor immediately. This may include youth sickness or disciplinary issue.
• Report a youth absconder to Communications and Dispatch Operator and Campus Supervisor immediately.
• Report any and all overnight youth issues to Counselor Parents or Behavioral Health Technician at the end of each shift.

Requirements:

• Able to provide documentation
• High School diploma or GED
