Job Summary:

This job contributes to Earl of Sandwich and Harrah’s Southern California Resort success by providing fast, friendly and Exceptional Customer Service to all guests with quality beverage, products and maintaining a clean and comfortable and safe store environment. Our team members are required to have basic knowledge about health and learn about all fresh products to effectively educate our guest. The team member is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Earl of Sandwich Guiding Principles and with Harrah’s Southern California Resort’s Mission Values and Vision.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • To be able to communicate in the major language of the work place.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
  • Able to work at a fast pace in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Meet store Operating Policies and Standards, including providing quality beveragesand food products, cash handling and store safety and security.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships.
  • Comply with a dress code.
  • Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift and be able to work well as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of health and nutrition.
  • Appearance must be consistently in proper uniform, with name tag/badge, to include correct shoes, and belt.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Acts with Integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture of Earl of Sandwich Guiding Principles and Harrah’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep the store operating to standards.
  • Anticipate guests and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues.
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Assist with new Team Members training.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with all guests and employees.
  • Follows Earl of Sandwich and Harrah’s Operational Policies and Procedures, including those for cash handling, safety and security, during each shift.
  • Be able to use computerized cashier systems.
  • Must be able to successful manage difficult situations; to include upset guests always remaining calm.
  • Must be able to consistently demonstrate (EGE) “Everyone Greets Everyone” by greeting all guests and fellow property team members with a smile and appropriate greeting.
  • Follow all safety policy’s and procedures while working. As well as follow all food handling procedures.
  • Provides quality beverage and food products consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipe and presentations to standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Properly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, glassware, utensils and pitchers.
  • Assists with cleaning other areas of the operation as requested.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that team member can locate resources and products as needed.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to Uniform Standards.
  • Perform any other functions as directed by Management.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:

  • Constant standing/walking for extended periods of time up to 8 hrs. or longer shifts.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling or crawling
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting or carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders and stairs.
  • Constant POS Register and bar equipment usage.
  • Constant receiving and putting away shipment.
  • Frequent, continual, rotation of the wrist and spine.
  • Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around bar area.
  • Occasional Distinguishing, with intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors.
  • Able to work in a Smoking Allowed Casino.

Pay: $16 per hour + tips
