JOB SUMMARY:

The Talent Acquisition Director has leadership involvement of proactive talent acquisition strategies, assist Senior Director driving process improvements to enhance the candidate experience, and oversee the day to day management of the TA team. Reporting to the Vanderbilt Health Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, this role is a key member of the HR team partnering with internal HR colleagues and operations in order to attract, assess and hire the highest quality, mission-driven talent. The system employs 30,000 team members throughout our clinical, research, and educational areas



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with leaders to recruit top talent for VUMC.
  • Partner with leadership on the overall candidate experience focused on branding VUMC as an employer of choice and making it a core element of recruitment.
  • Manages the staff, resources, and day-to-day operations of the TA Team (including supervising staff and setting performance expectations in agreement with the Senior Director).
  • Coaches and develops team and creates a strategy for ongoing development.
  • Drives consistent review of recruiting metrics and understands data and can pull accurate data from multiple resources.
  • Partners and collaborates effectively with other areas of Human Resources.
  • Managing the full-cycle recruitment process from job placement, sourcing, and interviewing, coordinating meetings with executive leaders to interviewing candidates, evaluating skill sets, offer process, negotiations, re-location, and initial onboarding.
  • Identify prospective candidates using all available resources such as active candidates from on-line databases, contact lists, internal databases, and employee referrals as well as passive candidates through networking.
  • Conduct thorough interviews to ensure qualification match, cultural and compatibility
  • Hold weekly meetings with business leaders to track progress to completion on the talent acquisition process, providing standard reporting metrics as needed.


Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 8 years experience

    • Frequent: Noise: May include exposure to occupational noise levels which equal or exceed an 8-hr time-weighted average of 85 decibels, requiring enrollment in VUMC's Hearing Conservation Program which includes training, use of hearing protection, and periodic audiometry.
