Summary

Our premier Central Florida landscape company seeks an extraordinary Director of Sales to drive new revenue and lead its high-performance sales team. The Sales Director will:

  • Overachieve budgeted sales growth
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the sales team accountable for revenue results and productivity metrics
  • Train sales team members on products, services, and selling techniques
  • Close larger account business, and assist sales team members in closing new accounts
  • Recruit outstanding sales team members
  • Produce accurate and reliable monthly sales team forecasts
  • Build effective and motivating sales compensation plans
  • Play a key role on the Lawn Enforcement Agency leadership team

This role is essential in achieving our strategic revenue growth goals over the next five years. To maximize effectiveness, the new sales leader will sell major accounts, manage the sales team, embrace a positive, collaborative environment, and train and coach sales professionals to crush their individual goals. The successful candidate will be a player-coach: ever ready to sell and close large opportunities, teach insightful approaches, deploy effective outreach tactics, manage the entire sales process via CRM, assist directly in closing sales opportunities, and fill in for open territories and positions.

As our Director of Sales, you will:

  • Sell and manage major accounts
  • Deliver profitable sales team results by motivating, counselling, developing, and managing the entire sales force toward revenue overachievement
  • Manage all sales and marketing processes
  • Directly manage all salespeople – personally filling in for open territories and positions
  • Collaborate weekly with the leadership team to ensure alignment with company goals and to champion disruptive marketing messaging and sales techniques
  • Work directly with salespeople in the field: prospecting, follow-ups, discovery meetings, presentations, negotiation, closing deals, and executing client agreements
  • Review all proposals for errors, complete solutions, and appropriate gross margins
  • Collaborate with field managers and crew members to ensure highest value delivery, client delight, and seamless sales-to-operations transitions
  • Stay current on all landscape and property care trends and products, and regularly train the sales team on new insights, products, best sales practices, and new revenue opportunities
  • Review the sales pipeline weekly with the Sales team and individually with each team member
  • Demonstrate outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills – internally with the team and externally with prospects, partners, suppliers, and clients
  • Build executable sales strategies and plans, and manage those plans comprehensively on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Manage the CRM system to ensure activity execution, sales achievement
  • Regularly publish sales reports and dashboards for the team, leadership, and company
  • Demonstrate outstanding organizational skills to meet all deadlines, execute management duties, and develop innovative approaches
  • Develop a successful sales plan: revenues, expenses, sales metrics, and growing LEA presence
  • Schedule and lead weekly sales team meetings and one-on-ones
  • Embody company culture and promote professional sales employee engagement

To achieve top-level success, you will need to:

  • Be able to sell and close landscape business among our target profile prospects
  • Demonstrate proficiency using and managing CRM platforms
  • Use advanced MS Office skills especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Possess expertise in deploying and evaluating sales and marketing campaigns
  • Be skilled at accurate record-keeping and sales management assessments
  • Be adaptable to evolving business climates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Show creativity in sales approaches and innovative messaging
  • Consistently produce accurate sales forecasts
  • Demonstrate attentiveness to contract specifications to be error-free
  • Be familiar with horticultural knowledge and trends
  • Drive consistently outstanding customer service
  • Identify and resolve prospect and client concerns creatively and satisfactorily
  • Display a passionate work ethic

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus
  • Experience: two years’ sales management, five years’ quota-carrying sales, two years’ landscape or similar industry experience preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Drug-Free Workplace - must pass a pre-hire drug screen and background check
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) a plus
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Clean driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
