We are currently recruiting an experienced leader to assume the position of Director of Employee Engagement.

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT

The Director of Employee Engagement will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert with emphasis on employee engagement. They will be accountable for the development of strategy, operational implementation, and successful delivery of engagement services, including company-wide rollouts, engagement specialist effectiveness, and retention outcomes such as turnover reduction. The Director of Employee Engagement will expand upon human resource strategies related to various desired business outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated leadership experience as an HR/People Operations practitioner with progressive HR/People Operations business.
  • Strong coaching skills and proven track record of mentoring and delivering results by creating followership through people.
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders using candor and persuasion.
  • Able to analyze retention concerns and determine effective interventions.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate in ways that inform, persuade, and engage target audiences and distill complex information into clear, concise content accessible to employees at all levels.
  • Proven track record of improving recruitment and retention outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or closely related major.
  • HR related certification highly preferred (i.e., SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, etc.)
  • MBA or related post-graduate degree a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support critical evolution of the business and achieve desired retention results that are sustainable over time.
  • Serve as a strategic business advisor to the leadership team on key engagement and management issues.
  • Act as champion of culture and advocate for employees with the goal of developing the strategic assets of people.
  • Support diversity and inclusion strategies to ensure an inclusive workplace.
  • Responsible for surfacing issues impacting employees and proactively proposing solutions to resolve and improve employee retention and engagement.
  • Disseminate and drive values throughout the organization.
  • Coach business leaders on employee communication, development and performance management strategies and tactics to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with HR leaders and Engagement Specialists to effectively lead this team of HR leaders.
