Acton Smile Hub is a local, family-owned dental practice in Acton, MA looking to hire a part-time (with potential for full time) front desk coordinator for Mondays 8AM-5PM, Wednesdays 8AM-5PM and Fridays from 7AM to 2PM. We are looking for a highly motivated, articulate, outgoing and energetic self-starter with great people skills and drive for continuous improvement.

Past dental experience and strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must have attention to detail and be proficient using computers, dental coding, dental terminology and dental insurance plans. Our practice uses Dentrix Ascend software so any experience with Dentrix desktop or Dentrix Ascend will be considered an advantage but we can also train the right candidate with prior experience in other dental practice management software.

Responsibilities:

· Greeting and checking-in/checking-out patients

· Scheduling appointments

· Estimating insurance copayments

· Collecting copays at time of visit and sending out patient bills

· Submitting and processing of dental claims

· Presenting treatment plans to patients, communicating financial policy, organizing and presenting financial arrangements to patients

· Maintaining optimal productive schedule for the doctor and hygienists

· Maintaining recall, continued care, unscheduled treatments and collections systems

· Reconciling daily EOB/EOP reports with patients ledger

· Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education Requirements:

• At least 3 years experience working in front desk / coordinator role in a dental practice
• Dentrix Ascend experience a big plus

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
