SUMMARY

This position exists to plan and perform the necessary operations to maintain, repair and rebuild Davenport Multi-Spindle Screw Machines

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and perform the necessary operations to maintain, repair and rebuild Davenport Multi-Spindle Screw Machines and equipment according to specifications and standard procedures.
• Work closely with supervision and line coordinators to determine operations and priorities.
• Coordinate repairs with sub-contractors and spare parts distributors.
• Perform all duties with minimal supervision.
• Production, set-up and repair need as required.
• Provide training to other team members.
• Participate in continuous improvement events.
• Maintain accurate repair, machine status and capability records.
• Successfully complete and use Lock Out/Tag Out training.
• Ensure work area is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Follow documented Work Instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Critical Competencies

• Extensive knowledge of Multi -Spindle Screw Machines, mechanical components, and machine shop practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measuring devices.
• Ability to assist Facility Maintenance with building or project issues.
• Successfully complete Forklift & Scissor Lift Training
• Basic math skills, including ability to use micrometers and other measuring devices.
• Proficiency in English language skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
