SUMMARY:
The Corporate Security Operations Lead is responsible for continued progress in the corporate/physical security section. The Lead will work closely with security and technology subject matter experts as well as internal and external stakeholders to manage security projects, finances, metrics, processes, operations, and contractors. The Corporate Security Operations Lead oversees Physical Security Operations personnel and is supervised by the Physical Security Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive all security capital projects throughout their lifecycle by working with stakeholders.

Ensures projects are completed on time and on budget in conjunction with Physical Security Technology Specialist and security integrators.

Prepares forecasts of needed funds, assists in the development and implementation of budgets, monitors project budgets, authorizes expenditures and budget allocations, reviews budget documents and prepares reports and communications.

Drafts and manages Requests for Proposal and Procurement processes on behalf of the office.

Directs operational aspects of the Security Guard program in conjunction with security subject matter experts.

Oversees Physical Security Operations Personnel.

Manages physical identity and access control programs.

Devises and produces metrics on behalf of the section.

Manages performance and supervises all physical security contractors.

Drafts, reviews, and walks through approval processes Physical Security policies and procedures.

Assists Physical Security Specialists with their duties when necessary.

COMPETENCIES:
Ability to understand, devise, and interpret financial data and performance metrics e.g. cost/benefit analysis, ROI, KPIs.

Ability to understand and apply complex regulatory, business, and technical requirements to projects.

Must have a demonstrated history of showing strong initiative, anticipating problems and next steps, and communicating to stakeholders before negative outcomes arise.

Excellent oral and Witten communication skills.

Excellent knowledge management and process creation and improvement skills.

Strong leadership abilities in all directions. Demonstrated capacity to motivate team members as well as internal and external stakeholders to drive results.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of work experience encompassing the following activities.

Managing complex projects and coordinating experts from different fields.

Budget management in a large corporation or government entity.

Managing contracts valued at more than $250,000 per contract per year.

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position, may be considered.

Experience in military, law enforcement, or government security in a related operations role is desired but not required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Qualifications
Candidates will maintain one or more of the following certifications:

PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)

SIA Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM®) Certification

ASIS PSP (Physical Security Specialist) Certification.

Lean/Six Sigma or Other Process Improvement Certification

Those without a valid certification will obtain one within 6 months of hire. Those without a CSPM will be given 24 months to obtain the certification upon hire.

Valid and Unrestricted Driver¿s License

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in difficult situations

Ability to communicate to employees at all levels about company policies, procedures, and processes

Advanced negotiation skills and ability to gain concessions without damaging relationships

Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with various individuals and groups

Ability to negotiate effectively with outside parties and manage relationships with a variety of contractors.

Ability to effectively listen and obtain clarification for prompt and effective resolution

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply the concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to conduct simple statistical inferences using data metrics and financial data.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Advanced technology skills with SharePoint, Microsoft applications, and other business-related programs.

Fundamental understanding of how computer networks operate.

Advanced ability to format documents.

Ability to search, find, and assess information on a computer network.

ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY:
Ability to identify, define, and solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and to change priorities as events unfold.

Ability to anticipate, influence, and assist the company in changing conditions and trends (internal and external) of importance to the direction of the company.

DECISION MAKING:
Independently identifies risk and makes sound decisions as situations arise. Ability to understand the physical security operations of the Company and individual organizations to ensure proper access controls are accomplished and are consistent with company policies and procedures. Makes difficult decisions regarding coordination of efforts within the Company to restore critical systems and provide facilities or supplies.

SCOPE AND IMPACT:
Responsible for physical protection of company assets and its employees in all company facilities. Has direct impact to company revenue relative to cost avoidance in damage and theft to assets. Issues related to physical security can result in high negative exposure to the Company. Failure to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies can negatively impact the Company regarding revenue and reputation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand or walk up to 1/3 of the time and regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time. Manual dexterity is required to perform computer applications and good vision is required to perform all aspects of the job. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. May require long periods of time in interview, conference, or meeting when one is required to talk and/or listen.
