Job Description: The Learning Experience – Clinton Hill (TLE – Clinton Hill) is seeking candidates for Center Support for our play-based early childhood development center in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn serving children from six weeks to five years of age. Our fabulous Center Support staff have the opportunity to get to know all of the ins and outs of our early childhood center, covering teachers for morning, lunch and afternoon breaks, helping with drop-off and pick-up procedures, and getting to know all educators and children throughout the building. Center Support positions can turn into full-time a Primary Caregiver position.

Principal Areas of Responsibility:

• Serve as a part-time support staff (30-35 hours per week); Maintain a daily schedule of Monday-Friday 8:00am-2:00pm, or Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-6:00pm.
• Encourage positive participation of students using enrichment and play-based activities to develop all aspects of their mental, physical, and social beings.
• Co-teach alongside staff members to develop and execute creatively on lesson plans focusing on diversity, social, and emotional learning, along with enrichment, curriculum themes, indoor and outdoor play, combining the arts and hands-on experiences with supportive guidance from management.
• Attend staff meetings and on-going training opportunities.
• Provide a safe and healthy environment for students
• Perform all duties related to childcare, including, potty training, diapering, feeding, cleaning, and nurturing.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Maintain all required credentials necessary for the role.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management as per program needs.
