BULLEIT DISTILLING CO. VISITOR EXPERIENCE BARTENDER

Position Overview / Description:

Title: Bartender

Classification: Part-time, hourly + tips

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Report to: Brand Home Manager

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to help support the hospitality operations at the Bulleit Distilling Co. Visitor Center in Shelbyville, KY. Ideal candidate will have a great understanding of the spirits industry, cocktail development, bar operations, cocktail applications, and acting in an ambassador type role for the Visitor Center and brand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lead the overall bar experience at the VC Main Bar for guests of the Visitor Center.

· Responsible for set up of bar, ensuring supplies are stocked, cocktails are batched, and staff is aware of any menu changes.

· Create cocktails for 150-500 guests over the course of each shift from dedicated list of 4-5 recipes.

· Maintain an organized space, taking pride in presentation and cleanliness.

· Understand the spirits industry, whiskey and bourbon category, and embrace the opportunity to educate while serving visitors.

· Act as cocktail and brand ambassador, sharing an enthusiasm about bourbon, Kentucky, and Bulleit with each visitor.

· Legal- Adhere to state laws regarding alcohol consumption by checking customer identification and promoting a responsible drinking culture.

· Events – responsible for creating cocktails for special event use, including batched recipes and signature cocktail menus for smaller on-site groups

QUALIFICATIONS

· (3+) years in Food & Beverage industry, at least (1) year experience bartending

· Hotel and/or Event/Catering experience a plus

JOB TYPE – PART TIME, HOURLY + TIPS

Additional Qualifications: PMM will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the USA in this position and must be 21 years of age. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screen and verification of I-9 Form.
