Summary
Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, lubricating oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. Loads and unloads the truck at locations with accurate pickup or delivery of product. Drives truck into position to load at filling rack. Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank. Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded. Connects hose to tank and opens valves. Records amount delivered and returns ticket to appropriate office personnel. Manage all aspects of the load on your truck and be responsible for all shortages and damages unless visual observation of loading is not possible. Maintain cleanliness of your truck both inside and out. Ensure on time loading and unloading and communicate with customers if delays occur. Provide excellent customer service, treating all customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Be available to load and/or unload your loads as needed. Make out daily trip sheet and other paper work as required. Use sound judgment and abilities to support the best interests of the company in all situations. Perform other related duties as needed or assigned. Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product. Work additional hours and occasional Saturdays to meet business needs.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
Basic computer skills necessary

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
CDL Class A or B with doubles / triples endorsement, Tanker and hazardous material endorsements, current DOT Medical card. Acceptable motor vehicle record.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
