Job Description :

Signet Health is actively interviewing experienced marketing professionals with behavioral health experience for the position of Community Education Coordinator, Behavioral Health Services for a new program in Fort Kent Maine.

The purpose of this position is to assume key responsibility and execution to the development, planning, and implementation of the program’s community outreach initiatives. Such oversight includes data monitoring, tracking of performance statistics, referral source relationship management, staff training, satisfaction survey processes, media relations, and leadership in outreach planning team meetings. Ability with experience to perform pre-screenings for potential patients when out in the field.

Some of the main responsibilities of this position will be:

  • Serve as the main source of development, implementation and updating for outreach-specific policies and procedures that comply with hospital ethics and marketing standards.
  • Provide community support and case management services to mentally ill adults using a recovery-based model and systems integration approach to services delivered.
  • Provide initial clinical screening of prospective patients, gathering pertinent patient information as needed.
  • Schedule and conduct educational in services and training internal to the Hospital and external to the community on mental health topics.
  • Be a resource to patients, families human service organizations or referral sources of any type on information pertaining to program services.
  • Assures that any clinical follow-up as requested by referral sources and based on intake information is provided to patients, families, human service organizations or referral sources of any type.
  • Organizes any clinical educational outreach sessions to professionals and layman alike in conjunction with the Director of Behavioral Health Services or other assigned clinical members of the program’s leadership team.

Qualified applicants must have considerable knowledge of social work principles and practice; social health and welfare programs and laws governing eligibility for these programs and the ability to mobilize and coordinate community resources effectively.

Candidates must possess excellent oral and written skills and the ability to work independently, be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and prioritize duties daily.

Must have transportation and a valid driver’s license.

CPR Certification required.

Working knowledge of behavioral health, social health & welfare programs, and marketing required.
