DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet guests, take beverage orders
• Mix drinks cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements
• Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
• Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts
• Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
• Prepare daily Hors d'oeuvre item and display with necessary accompaniments
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of beverage products, menus and promotions
• Maintain a clean working area by wiping down all surfaces, washing and polishing the glasses, etc. as needed
• Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS / ABILITIES):

• Excellent oral communication skills required
• Positive interpersonal skills required
• Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous bartending experience preferred.

EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

• Restaurant or bar experience required
• Active ABRA and DCRA approved ABC Bar Manager's License required
• Active TIPS Alcohol Certification required
• Active SafeServ Food Protection Certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
