Minimum Qualifications:

  • Military, Law Enforcement, Security experience. (Military discharge MUST be honorable)
  • U.S Citizen
  • At least 21 years old
  • Have a clean criminal background. (Other than minor traffic violations/offenses not punishable by incarceration or by a fine of more than $500.00)
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Shall be capable of being armed, to include training, qualification, and certification in the use, safety, and responsibilities of carrying and using firearms and non-lethal weapons.
  • English proficiency
  • Be able to obtain a Tier 3 background check.
  • Pass a drug screening.
  • Must be clean shaven at time of employment (medical and religious exemptions available upon request and approval)

Physical Demands:

  • Initial medical assessment will be provided.
  • Be in good general health, well-proportioned in height and weight.
  • 20/20 Vision
  • Average hearing
  • Be able to pass a physical fitness assessment consisting of:

29 Sit-ups within 2 minutes

21 Push-ups within 2 minutes

Run 1.5 miles in 17:30

Sprint 300 meters in 81 seconds

Lift 40 pounds minimum from floor to waist

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol, observe and report on all areas of responsibility.
  • Perform access control functions to the NBAF.
  • Operate and monitor screening technologies (X-ray personal belonging screening, walk-through magnetometer, and handheld/operated metal detectors.
  • Conduct inspections of hand-carried items
  • Perform random badge and ID checks of personnel.
  • Perform random inspections of personal belongings and vehicles entering NBAF campus.
  • Monitor and enforce policies concerning the unauthorized removal of property, documents, and materials from NBAF campus.
  • Respond and provide armed security assistance to all requests from NBAF personnel and others onsite, requiring assistance because or, or to prevent acts of, physical violence, vandalism, theft, or other disturbances.
  • Respond to medical emergency requests and provide initial emergency first aid and/or CPR.
  • Actively participate in all Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services response needs on NBAF.
  • Perform security and health and welfare checks.
  • Respond to elevator malfunctions.
  • Protect NBAF employees and visitors from civil disturbances or terrorist activities.
  • Process official visitors, tours, groups, vendors, foreign nationals, employee, etc. onto the NBAF Campus to conduct official business.
  • Provide security related escorts for functions and employee safety.
  • Utilize specialized training in methods and techniques of protecting controlled areas.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.05 per hour
