Accounts Payable Specialist

Hybrid, 3-month contract assignment

Pay Rate: $28-30/hr.

Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for compiling and maintaining accounts payable records. Processes checks, generates monthly reports, and assists the Accounts Payable Supervisor as necessary.

Responsibilities:

· Generates the monthly account current statement or report of bookings as required

· Ensures companies are paid in an accurate and timely manner

· Assists the Accounts Payable Supervisor in the reconciliation of company payable to the general ledger

· Execute full cycle accounts payable functions including invoice review, 2-way and 3-way matching, GL account and department coding, purchase order matching, data entry, electronic payment processing and month end accruals

· Maintain A/P system records including but not limited to collection of W9s, assignment of payment terms, and vendor information

· Ensure purchase orders, packing slips, and other applicable back up for vendor invoices are uploaded into NetSuite

· Reconcile vendor payable statements monthly

· Respond to inquiries in a professional and prompt manner

· Assist with month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing of the General Ledger

What you need:

· High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

· 2 - 4 years of related work experience

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Basic knowledge of accounting terms

· Familiar with word processing and spreadsheet software

· Ability to file and operate general office equipment

· Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
