Primary Function
The Accountant Supervisor position is a senior role that provides leadership for all aspects of full-cycle accounting for our multi-state organization. They will provide insight to assist the CFO and Controller with critical financial decisions. They will oversee account reconciliations to ensure the integrity and stability of the organization. Ideal candidates will demonstrate proficiency in managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. They must also have excellent organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks and confidential information.

Responsibilities
  • Support CFO and Controller by providing supervision of operational staff
  • Oversees day-to-day accounting controls and processes to ensure efficiency and minimize risk
  • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
  • Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports
  • Oversee account reconciliation process & daily transactions
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Audit financial transactions and documents
  • Provide payroll support across multi-state organizations
  • Provide support in commission processing
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
  • Graduate degree or CPA preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Senior Accountant or similar experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of QuickBooks experience is required.
  • Must be proficient in Excel with an intermediate skill set.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills: accuracy is essential.
  • Must be well organized and able to multitask efficiently.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and have good computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to sit at a desk for 70%-90% of the workday in a general office environment.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $70,000.00-$90,000.00 Annually
  • Full-time (40 hours/ week), Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
