Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor responsibilities include account reconciliations, analysis, financial statement preparation, responding to audit requests (internal and external), managing two direct reports, insurance compliance, new construction documentation, leases and fixed assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for SOX documentation and compliance as well as monitoring for observance to these controls. Other duties to include sales & use tax review, personal/real property tax filings and other duties as assigned by the Plant Controller.

General Responsibilities:

· Completion of assigned balance sheet reconciliations

· Review/approval of assigned balance sheet reconciliations

· Analyze current MTD and YTD financial statements for reasonableness

· Monthly financial statement preparation: B/S, P&L and Statement of Cashflows (direct) and distribution

· Prepare and send trial balance in OneStream format for upload to corporate consolidation

· Monthly preparation and distribution, to corporate parent, of PP&E and Indirect Cashflow statements

· Timely and thoroughly respond to internal and external audit requests

· Prepare journal entries, as appropriate, for entry

· Ensure completion of SOX documentation and compliance requirements

· Monitor, for adherence, SOX controls and report on any noted deficiencies

· Review all new construction contracts and company leases

· Draft and submit request for approval documents for all PP&E and lease expenditures.

· Maintain third-party PP&E records, to include acquisitions, dispositions, monthly depreciation expense and continuity

· Review preparation and filing of required sales & use tax returns

· Judicious completion and submission of personal/real property tax returns

· Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls by working with business partners.

· Manage, mentor, schedule and review workload and work content of two direct reports.

· Ensure company takes advantage of all allowed and available R&D credits

· Other duties as required

Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.

· 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment and/or a publicly traded company

· Strong understanding and application of GAAP.

· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

· Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and within a team environment

· Must have 2-3 years SOX experience, either in establishing/documenting controls, maintaining and monitoring SOX standards or a combination of both.

· Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

· Experience managing a small (1-3) team of direct reports.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
