Position Summary: The primary responsibilities of this position is to maintain and manage the accounting and processing of daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activity of the operation in the accounting system. This position may also be assigned specialized end of month report activities that assist with period end reporting and close that is aligned with the role. This position may be assigned other processing duties to create depth and continuity of role and/or are aligned with their primary AR/AP/client service role.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure vendor and customer information is maintained and accurate to promote accurate processing of invoices and ensure all necessary documents are on file.
2. Ensure invoice information and vendor statements are approved and accurate. Research discrepancies with authorized company personnel and vendors.
3. Receive, maintain control of and responsible for accurate coding and posting of invoices received from vendors to accounting system which include date of invoice or statement, discount date, and amounts due.
4. Prepare cash requirements report based on invoice discount and/or due dates and forward for cash disbursement processing to ensure vendors are paid timely and discounts are realized.
5. Escalate identified delays in approval of invoices or statements preventing payment so that open matters are resolved in a timely manner.
6. Work with account managers to ensure all information is obtained for account setup.
7. Responsible for timely and accurate coding and posting of sales orders and/or invoices to customers for services performed and/or product sold.
8. Responsible for timely generation and mailing of invoices and/or statements to customers (and account managers where requested).
9. Ensures the subsidiary ledger and account activity remains clean and free from stale items.
10. Distribute AR reports as directed or upon request to management and account managers.
11. Ensure financial system account activity reconciles to production system activity for purposes of validating production reports and information that will be utilized for metric and valuation reporting at an accounting period end.
12. Update, validate and/or distribute spreadsheets or reports used for accrual accounting purposes at an accounting period end.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
