Shift:

8AM-4PM (Monday-Friday)

Job Overview:

Responsible for providing accounting support to the department. Keys information into the general ledger, ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, handles accounts payable and receivable duties, and assists accounting personnel.

Essential Functions:

• Performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting department
• Verifies the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
• Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable)
• Compiles, enters, and maintains data in the accounting system(s), generates documents and reports as needed
• Reconciles records with internal customers, external vendors, or customers
• Provides analysis of financial data and makes recommendations to resolve discrepancies
• Investigates questionable data
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

• Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, team-building and problem-solving skills
• Ability to review, interpret, and evaluate company documents
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Exceptional organization skills are required with emphasis on attention to detail

Education & Requirements:

• Two-year degree in accounting
• 1-3 years accounting experience
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Proficiency with working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience using Epicor preferred
• Ability to work independently and with teams

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Able to perform regular bending, twisting, and lifting to shelve
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
