CCI has an exciting opportunity in our Accounting department. We are looking for someone with a strong accounting background, with a focus in Accounts Payable.

Summary

The Accounting Associate performs general accounting duties in accordance with prescribed procedures and accounting practices. The focus of this position will be primarily related to the Accounts Payable functions and responsibilities of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. All aspects of Accounts Payable: Sort and distribute vendor invoices for approval, Code invoices to proper GL, Review and validate invoice information, Enter invoices into accounting system, Reconcile vendor statements; research and resolve discrepancies, Review, record and process Employee Expense Reimbursements and Prepare and process payments (check and ACH)

2. Reconcile various GL Accounts

3. Record, reconcile, and pay Sales & Use Tax and Excise Tax

4. Prepare 1099’s

5. Perform various year end and project work

6. File and maintain clerical records and reports

7. Comply with all quality, safety and sanitation regulations

8. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, with a high level of working knowledge and skill in Excel

· General knowledge of GAAP

· Understanding of business cycles and inventory/production flows in a computerized system (ERP and MRP related experience will be helpful)

· Ability to perform research and data analysis

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and interpersonal skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Strong time management skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy

· Maintain confidentiality and discretion on all aspects of the business

Education and/or Experience

• 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance and 3 or more years of relevant experience
• 2 Year Associates Degree in Accounting/Finance and 5 or more years of relevant experience
